Izzy Meikle-Small was denied parts in school plays because of her size

TEEN star Izzy Meikle-Small is set for the BIG time – after ­starring in the Christmas telly hit Great Expectations.

It marks a dramatic turnaround for the pint-sized 15-year-old actress, who ­revealed she was bullied at school and missed out on roles in plays because of her petite frame.

Izzy won viewers’ hearts in the BBC’s adaptation of the Dickens classic.

But she admitted: “I’ve always been really small and my name doesn’t help, so I got heavily teased and tormented. The girls used to call me names, laugh at me and make my life a misery.

I almost missed that Izzy was in this film! The trailer for Snow White & The Huntsman is out now and can be watched on youtube here. Izzy plays the young evil queen, I can’t wait to see the film in full!

Grand Opening!

Welcome to the grand opening of Isobel Meikle-Small Fan, your newest and soon to be most comprehensive source. You may recognise Izzy as a young Kathy in Never Let Me Go, or from the upcoming Great Expectations. I have begun by adding photos to the gallery, including some pretty new headshots which you can see in full by clicking on the previews below.
